VR & V/Line 'GH' Grain Wagon

Introduced into service by the VR in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, the GH wagons were converted from the ubiquitous GY wagon family for dedicated grain transportation.

When the conversion program ceased in the early 1980’s, there were over 800 wagons in the GH wagon fleet before culling commenced in the late 1980’s. The VR Products kit is based upon surviving GH wagons (numbers 522A and 447X) located at Castlemaine, Victoria.
